PrimeTech's new stock kept arriving, but slower items sat for months without a plan
PTech brings in new stock across several product categories. Slow items built up, and more and more of its money was tied up in them.
PTech often chose what to promote, and how, with no set plan or timeline. Some higher-value stock sat for months without a promotion as new stock arrived.
BizKit's advice gave each flagged item its own promotion, and PTech had bundles and ads live within about a week
PTech runs its stock on our inventory system. Its Stock Aging report flags each item that is aging or overstocked. With our advice, PTech agreed on a promotion for each flagged item.
It followed through on each one, using five kinds of promotion.
- Bundles that made slow items more appealing to buyers
- Online ads aimed at slow product lines
- Outreach through PTech's own sales and partner channels
- A place in a major seasonal selling event
- Price changes to help promoted items sell
Within about a week of our advice, PTech's bundles and ads were live. Its outreach to partners had begun too.
With BizKit, PTech's promoted stock brought in PHP 4.0M+ in net sales
The promotions also recovered PHP 1.5M in gross profit. Across the promoted lines, the money tied up in stock fell by PHP 6.4M.
At the latest check-in, one promotion had no recorded sales yet. It stays open for the next review. PTech is still getting used to the system, and a few steps cause problems.
With promotions planned from its own data, PTech can move slow stock sooner
Planning promotions is becoming a habit at PTech, built on what the report shows. Some kinds of promotion did better than others, so PTech can repeat them. Promotions timed around big selling seasons can move slow stock faster.
There is still a delay between an item being flagged and its promotion starting. PTech has the most to gain by shortening that delay. Promotions do not all sell at the same pace. PTech and our team track how each one sells, to see sooner what works.
